Sharing Folders With Teams

At SocialRank we are always looking for ways to make it easier to collaborate with your team on the SocialRank for Teams experience. We have just released another way to do that, giving you the ability to share folders with your teammates.

Folders is a new feature we pushed two weeks ago. This lets you organize your reports and see them in a multi-report view. Now you can share these folders with your teammates so they don’t have to recreate them.

Share Lists on SocialRank Teams

SocialRank for Teams has been a key product for bigger organizations when using SocialRank and Market Intel.

Screen Shot 2016-05-26 at 4.44.29 PM

One of the most useful features has been Creating Lists. Lists help curate the results you are looking for. Instead of saving a query (Saved Searches), this lets you control the accounts present. You can also build Lists across multiple accounts.

Screen Shot 2016-05-26 at 4.44.43 PM

Now, in SocialRank Teams, you can share your list with your teammates. This can be useful so you don’t have recreate Lists as a team. For example, if someone from your company builds a list and you want to use, just by having them click share, you can have access to it.

As always, hit us up at [email protected] if you have any questions, comments, requests, jokes, concerns – we want to hear it all!

What is SocialRank Teams?

Screen Shot 2016-03-29 at 11.37.48 PM

SocialRank for Teams allows brands, agencies, and organizations to use SocialRank and Market Intelligence in a collaborative environment. With SocialRank for Teams you can set up email address logins for all team members, set permissions for individual members, and do this from a dedicated domain (i.e. Nike.SocialRank.com, Disney.SocialRank.com, etc.)

How do I get started?

Head over to SocialRank.com/teams to request your URL and access. We will email you with set up instructions.

How does SocialRank Teams work?

SocialRank Teams combines SocialRank and Market Intel in a collaborative environment. Once the admin sets up your team, they will invite other members, set permissions, and create departments.

SocialRank Teams is meant for organizations with more than one person using SocialRank. Instead of having to share login information, you can log in with email addresses and passwords.

SocialRank Teams Set Up Walkthrough

When we set up your Team account you’ll receive the email below.

If you follow the link to “Create Team” you’ll end up on the create admin account page (below).

This is Step 1.

Screen Shot 2016-03-29 at 11.42.10 PM

Step 2 is to give the Organization a name.

Screen Shot 2016-03-29 at 11.42.30 PM

Step 3 lets you Add Departments. You can name them after departments like Social Media, Marketing, Communications. Or you can name them after accounts your organization has (i.e. Pizza Hut account, Samsung account, etc).

Screen Shot 2016-03-29 at 11.43.14 PM

Step 4 lets you Add People. You enter the email address, choose the Department you’d like to add them to and choose the permission level you’d like to grant them (more about permission levels below).

Screen Shot 2016-03-29 at 11.44.13 PM

The last part of set-up is the email you receive as a team member to join the organization.

Once your team is set up you now can dive into SocialRank and Market Intel inside of SocialRank Teams.

Screen Shot 2016-03-29 at 11.45.05 PM

When dropped into Teams, you aren’t bound by one certain account – you are in an always-Market Intel experience.

Screen Shot 2016-03-29 at 11.45.33 PM

As you add accounts they will populate in your view. You can toggle back and forth between Twitter and Instagram.

Screen Shot 2016-03-29 at 11.45.47 PM

You have three tabs – Accounts my organization has run (only if you are an admin), Accounts my department ran and Accounts I ran. This lets you dig into the accounts running in your Team much easier.

Screen Shot 2016-03-29 at 11.46.06 PM

If you click the drop down where your email address is, you’ll be able to jump into Account Settings. From there you have three tabs, Information, Accounts and the Org Users.

You don’t need to, but if you want to DM/Follow from SocialRank, you need to log in with those relevant accounts. You can add them by Authenticating with the UN/PW in Accounts under Settings.

Screen Shot 2016-03-29 at 11.46.35 PM

When you toggle over to your Org Users you’ll see the ability to Add New Team Members and New Departments.

Screen Shot 2016-03-29 at 11.46.51 PM

You can easily add new team members by entering their email address, choosing their department and selecting the appropriate permissions.

Screen Shot 2016-03-29 at 11.47.00 PM

You can also easily create and delete departments. Make sure to save them before going back to settings.

Screen Shot 2016-03-29 at 11.47.36 PM

This is what it looks when you’ve added a bunch of people into departments and different levels of permission.

Screen Shot 2016-03-29 at 11.47.23 PM

Lastly, there are levels of permission you can apply to people. This lets you control who has what access from your organization.

SocialRank for Teams - Landing Page

SocialRank for Teams – Laying Down The Foundation For The Future Of SocialRank

We’re excited to announce a new product called SocialRank for Teams.

Starting today brands, agencies, and organizations can request their own dedicated domain here and begin onboarding team members.

Choosing Your Team Domain

SocialRank for Teams #1

Once you request your own dedicated domain, we will send you a link to choose your domain. Your best bet is to make the domain something everyone at your org can remember – so if you are a big company like Walmart, you should choose Walmart.SocialRank.com.

Going forward when you want to use SocialRank just head to your dedicated domain to log in.

Setting Up Your Team

SocialRank for Teams #2

Once you’ve setup your domain, it is time to add departments or teams. Think of it as Channels on Slack. If you are someone like Adidas – you might want to have departments like @Adidas, @AdidasBasketball, @AdidasFootball, @AdidasBaseball, etc. On top of that you might want to have Social Media, Marketing, Human Resources, Analytics, Communications, Executive Team, and more.

Email Address Logins

SocialRank for Teams #3

Once you’ve set up your departments/teams, you can now add team members. Instead of logging in with a Twitter or Instagram account – you can use your email and a password and jump right into your team environment.

Setting Permissions

SocialRank for Teams #5

The admin of the account can set up permissions for the team. This lets you control who has access to running accounts, DM/Follow, adding Market Intel accounts, creating new departments, adding new users, adding more admins, and more.

Market Intel Out Of Beta + Beta Features

Screen Shot 2015-12-09 at 1.42.48 AM

A big piece of SocialRank for Teams is the ability to use Market Intel (the ability to run any public Twitter or Instagram through the SocialRank platform as your own) with your team. Market Intel has just come out of beta (you can request a demo here) and it keeps getting better. We’ve added new filters like the popular “Compare to another account filter” as well as new beta features that you will all get access to soon (they range from a Word/Hashtag Filter, Gender Filter, and more). You can email us at [email protected] to have us turn it on for you early.

Where We Go From Here

Sukhoi_Business_Jet_(6749182907)

Over the past ten years brands, agencies, and organizations have spent countless hours and billions of dollars building massive audiences on social media. But when talking with them it is clear they don’t really know much about the people who follow them, and they aren’t doing anything with them besides broadcasting (tweeting, sharing, posting, pinning).

We believe the reason they don’t do more with their audience is they don’t have the tools to track and manage the campaigns they are running. A surprise and delight campaign here, a local event there. All of these are lost in endless spreadsheets on Excel or Google.

This is one of the reasons we built SocialRank. We want to help brands, agencies and organizations better identify, segment, and interact with their audience. Whether you are a presidential candidate looking to find your biggest follower in Iowa to invite to a rally, or a brand looking to invite their 50 most engaged followers on Instagram to a local event – SocialRank is the solution. And as of today, you can execute on these as a team.

But this is just the beginning.

This launch is a pivotal moment for SocialRank. We are putting down the foundation layer for what is to come. We are evolving from a social media analytics product to a collaborative audience management platform and CRM. We have new filters and sorting options coming out soon. After that the next steps are to add CRM capabilities and actionable items inside of SocialRank. This means letting you add notes, create lists, track campaign performance, and have scalable private communication.

As always – if you need to get in touch with us to provide feedback, product requests, or more – email us at [email protected] – we really love to hear from you all and your feedback makes it into the product in a very real way.
